Edo-period advertising parchment of a comedic show known as 'ピープ・ショー' ('Peeping Theatre: Sparring Men Share Living Quarters'). This particular leaflet depicts three of the most popular story lines: the top left the character ジェレミー humourously eats a dog; the middle character スーパー ハンス attempts to send a message via pigeon that he has accidentally run to Wakayama; and the lower right character マーク accidentally vomits onto a snake within a bucket after a rambunctious party in the Emperor's court.
