Woodprint from 1785 depicting a team of local market sellers, known to locals as the 'Foolish Horse Brothers'. The eldest brother, Deru Boi (デル・ボーイ) was often found in the marketplaces of Edo selling various items (including cracked ice, carpet tiles, deep-freezing jars and wax-depictions of popular music artists). Historic records from the period show he was often assisted reluctantly by his younger, lankier brother and their great uncle, a hero of the Boshin War (as he liked to mention VERY often).
