Please read these Terms of Service carefully before placing an order with Ukiyo-e by Gum. By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us Ukiyo-e by Gum is an Australian-based online store specialising in premium print-on-demand wall art inspired by the ukiyo-e tradition. Our products are produced to order by our fulfilment partner and shipped directly to customers worldwide.
2. Print-on-Demand Fulfilment All products are made to order — produced specifically for you at the time of purchase. As a result:
- Production typically takes 2–7 business days before dispatch.
- Orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.
- Slight colour/tone variations between screens and print are inherent to the POD process and do not constitute a defect.
3. Shipping We ship worldwide to Australia, the UK, Japan, the USA, Canada, and other destinations. Delivery estimates are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, postal services, or events outside our control. Import duties, taxes, or customs fees are the buyer's responsibility.
4. Returns, Refunds & Damaged Items We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or buyer's remorse, as all items are made to order. If your item arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 14 days of delivery with your order number, a photo of the damage, and a brief description. Valid claims will be assessed for a replacement or refund at our discretion. Claims after 14 days will not be accepted.
5. Intellectual Property All artwork, designs, images, and content on this website are the original creative work of Ukiyo-e by Gum, protected by copyright and IP laws in Australia and internationally. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use our artwork for commercial purposes without express written permission. Purchasing a product grants a personal, non-commercial licence to display the artwork in your private space only. Our brand name, logo, and trade marks are our exclusive property.
6. Pricing & Payment Prices are displayed in your market currency (GBP, AUD, or other supported currencies) and are subject to change. Payment is processed securely at checkout.
7. Accuracy of Information We reserve the right to correct pricing or description errors and to cancel orders placed at an incorrect price, with a full refund offered.
8. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
9. Privacy Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
